Kaiser Dressage Intern

Holly has always had a love of horses, the proverbial little girl, determined horses would be in her life. When she was seven, she convinced her parents to invest in her first riding lessons at a western barn. Having finally experienced her dream to ride, her motivation grew, Holly began saving babysitting, holiday, and birthday money to pay for her own lessons during summer breaks.

When Holly was a freshman in high school, she came across an ad looking for volunteers for Therapion Therapeutic Riding Center. Holly contacted the organizer and began horse handling three times a week for children and adults. She volunteered at Therapion for four years until the program was relocated and it was no longer feasible to make the drive. Holly considers the work she did there to be one of the most rewarding times of her life and misses participating in these student's horse interactions and their growth.

Near the end of her Therapion position she discovered FHF and Kaiser Dressage. Holly arrived at FHF in the fall of 2019 unfamiliar with the discipline of dressage. She observed the people and the activities at FH Farm and quickly became very excited about this area of riding. She could foresee a new dream and goal; the possibility of one day getting to compete in a dressage show. Thus began volunteering and lessons with Kaiser Dressage as often as possible. An enthusiastic student, Holly’s skills rapidly grew.

In the summer of 2022, she entered her first show in St. Louis with FHF Venus where they earned good scores at training level. Holly has continued to compete with excellent experiences and continued advancement.

Holly began an her internship with the Kaisers in 2024. She has thus far earned her second and third level scores towards her USDF Bronze medal on FHF Racharee. The pair placed third in both JR/Young Rider for second and third level at the 2024 Regionals and earned a trip to USDF Nationals. Her current goals are to attain her final bronze medal scores as well as eventually earn her silver and gold medals.

Holly is a persistent, hard worker, eager to continue to grow as both a dressage rider and horse trainer.
